The HIV Advanced Training Forum is a two-day international course organized on 25-26 March 2026 in Bucharest, Romania, through the collaboration of leading academic and clinical institutions across Europe. The course is designed to equip early-career healthcare professionals with practical, patient-centered strategies for long-term HIV care.
Through a comprehensive curriculum covering the latest developments in HIV management, coinfection integration, resistance understanding, and prevention, the course emphasizes translating scientific knowledge into real-world clinical practice. With a strong focus on the patient journey, from diagnosis to lifelong health and quality of life, it also highlights the critical role of vaccination and tailored interventions for key populations.
Participants will gain valuable insights from an international faculty composed of leading European HIV experts, promoting a holistic and evidence-based approach to contemporary HIV care.

PARTICIPATION GRANTS
Deadline to apply for participation grants: 15 February 2026
Communication of selected participants: 1 March 2026
A total of 40 participation grants are available for physicians meeting the following criteria:
» Early-career MD with experience in treating HIV infection of approx. 3-5 years
» Currently working in the field of HIV
» With a strong interest in improving HIV care
Participation grants include:
» travel to Bucharest (economy return flight or train ticket)
» one night of accommodation in a 4-star hotel in Bucharest on the evening of 25 March 2026
» coffee breaks, and lunch during the two days of the meeting
Registration for the meeting is free of charge for healthcare practitioners
PARTICIPANT SELECTION PROCESS
- Participants will be selected based on the information provided in the online registration form. Availability to attend the full course and commitment to active participation are mandatory.
- Applications will be reviewed to ensure eligibility and alignment with the educational objectives and target audience of the HIV Advanced Training Forum. Selection criteria include professional background, current involvement in HIV care, years of clinical experience, and the relevance and quality of the motivation statement.
- Priority will be given to early-career healthcare professionals (MDs) actively engaged in HIV management who demonstrate a strong commitment to improving patient-centered HIV care.
